PORTRAIT COMMISSION PRICE SCHEDULE
Each year, I accept a few portrait commissions. The following information is provided to determine if I am the right portrait artist for you. Any potential client should familiarize themselves with the style and nature of my work through the images provided on my website.
My portrait commission process includes a photography session and a color study, where the client sits for a brief painting. From there, I work with the client to choose the image and preferred pose. This session can be done in my studio, or within a 60-mile radius of my residence in Wisconsin, free of charge. My best work is created when I am able to meet the client in person, take my own reference photos and do a color study. Fees listed below are for the artwork only, and do not include framing, tax or shipping. Framing options are available upon request for an additional fee.
I accept cash, personal check or PayPal. I have clients sign a standard portrait commission contract and submit a non-refundable deposit of 40% in advance, with the balance due upon completion of the commission. Commissioned portraits generally take 4-6 months to complete, depending on size and complexity.
